Schermo Smart a Rilascio Rapido N3 (Pre-vendita)

After doing a lot of read up on the available options for smart displays I took a chance on the brand new N3 model from Innovv for my BMW R1300GS.
The concerns I had before the buy was screen brightness and wonder wheel integration.
The delivery was fast and my worries was unnecessarily.
After a 7 day tour in Norway with both summer-sun and rain the N3 has over-exceeded my expectations. It works great. I use it as a Appel CarPlay device mainly with Google Maps and Spotify/Apple Music.
The screen is bright enough for the summer sun and the wonder wheel integration works flawlessly.

INNOVV N3 – Initial Review

I recently purchased and fitted an INNOVV N3 to my KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and wanted to share my first impressions.

The ordering process was straightforward and the information available on the INNOVV website was clear and helpful. However, it soon became apparent that, as a newly released product, the N3 was not yet available in the UK and would need to be shipped from China, meaning delivery would take longer than I had initially expected.

This is where INNOVV’s customer service really impressed me. I contacted them via their online chat and was genuinely surprised by how responsive and efficient they were. My enquiry was dealt with quickly, communication was excellent throughout, and they went above and beyond to ensure I received the unit well before I set off on my motorcycle tour.

Installation was relatively straightforward. The instructions could perhaps be laid out a little more clearly, but nothing was particularly difficult. The only challenge I had was identifying the KTM ACC1 and ACC2 wiring connections, but once that was sorted, the N3 was easy to mount and connect.

On first power-up, the unit connected to my phone without any issues and worked better than I had expected. The app was easy to use and the overall setup process was quick and intuitive.

As I’ve only recently started using the N3, it’s too early for me to provide a long-term review of its performance and reliability. However, based on my experience so far, I am extremely pleased with both the product and the support I received.

Pros:

* Works exactly as expected straight out of the box

Areas for Improvement:

* Installation instructions could be clearer and better organised

Overall, my initial impression is very positive. INNOVV’s customer service was outstanding, the product was easy to fit, and first use has been excellent. I look forward to putting many miles on the bike with the N3 and will happily provide a longer-term update in the future.

During a 5 hour ride a couple of days ago, I had a first good test of the N3 with the updated firmware v1.1.
I'm happy to say that almost everything works flawless.

I'm running Android Auto and I have so far used navigation with "MyRoute-App" and music streaming through Spotify.
I actually haven't tested phone calls or Google Maps yet but I wouldn't expect any issues with that.

The only thing so far that isn't working, is that the tire pressure isn't shown on the home screen.
The pairing of the TPMS works fine and the pressure is shown on the pairing screen under Settings, but not on the home screen.
That makes me wonder if the warnings for low or high pressure is working? Maybe it is anyway. I don't know.
This shouldn't be too hart to fix with a firmware update I suppose.
INNOVV actually states on their Support web page that the FW v1.1 would fix this among other things, but it hasn't.
"2. UI Correction:​ Resolved an issue where speed and tire pressure units would not update."
The speed is shown but not the tire pressure values.

The actual pressure value is by the way a bit lower than the real value. Around 0.3 Bar too low on front and around 0.2 Bar on the Rear (It might have been the other way around actually. I don't remember right now which was more wrong).
Here it would be nice if there was a way for the user to offset the measured value to the actual value (separately for front and rear).
Sort of a user calibration if you will. That would be nice to have in a future firmware update as well.

These are minor things for me right now and otherwise the N3 works great and I'm so far really happy with it.

Ich bin aktuell ca 2000km mit dem N3 unterwegs. Zuhause noch das OTA update durchgeführt und jetzt seit ca. 2000, läuft das N3 perfekt. Kein hänger, kein einfrieren es läuft immer und das auch noch sehr schnell. Auch Nässe, den ganzen Tag regen macht nichts aus. Die Hellifkejt ist perfekt. Dieses Gerät ist ein zuverlässiger Begleiter. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.
