A closer look at the setup on the KTM 890 Adventure
In his video, UPShifting Adventures walks through the process of installing the INNOVV RC6 on his KTM 890 Adventure and shares his experience with the system.
To keep the wiring tidy, he removed several body panels and the fuel tank. However, he notes that other motorcycles may require less disassembly.
The installation involves the front camera, rear camera with radar, left and right blind spot indicators, control unit, and power harness. Planning the cable routes before connecting everything helped him keep the installation organized.

What the RC6 brings to the ride
The RC6 combines front and rear recording with blind spot monitoring.
- 2K front and 1080p rear recording: Captures the road ahead and behind. UPShifting Adventures also comments on the front camera’s image stabilization, which he finds useful for reviewing rides and creating ride videos.
- Loop recording: Users can choose 1-, 3-, or 5-minute recording segments, or turn loop recording off. He opts for three-minute clips.
- Impact detection and video locking: The gravity sensor can lock footage when it detects an impact, helping protect important recordings from being overwritten.
- Blind spot monitoring: The rear unit combines a camera with a radar sensor, while indicators near the handlebars provide alerts about vehicles detected in the blind spots.
Blind spot alerts are an additional aid, not a replacement for checking mirrors, looking over your shoulder, or making your own riding decisions.

Getting familiar with the app
After wiring the system, UPShifting Adventures connects his phone to the RC6’s Wi-Fi and opens the INNOVV app to configure the settings.
The app provides controls for camera layout and orientation, recording resolution, loop length, microphone level, date and time overlays, memory card formatting, and gravity sensor settings.
Once correctly wired, the system starts recording automatically when the motorcycle is powered on.
One detail he mentions is that his phone needs to be relatively close to the motorcycle to connect to the system’s Wi-Fi. This reflects his setup and may vary depending on the installation and environment.
What stood out in his experience?
UPShifting Adventures says he does not usually make product review videos, but agreed to feature the RC6 because he has confidence in INNOVV. After installing and trying the system, he says he plans to keep it on his motorcycle.
His video offers a practical look at the installation, cable routing, and app setup on a KTM 890 Adventure. As with any hands-on account, the experience reflects his particular motorcycle and installation rather than every possible setup.
Is the RC6 worth considering for your motorcycle?
If you want to record the road ahead and behind while adding another layer of awareness around nearby traffic, the INNOVV RC6 is worth exploring.
Before choosing a system, consider your motorcycle’s mounting options, wiring requirements, and available installation space. These practical details can help you determine whether the setup suits your bike and riding needs.
